Nicklas Guldåker is a senior lecture and researcher with special interest in research field as risk and crisis management, citizens and household vulnerability, methods of risk and vulnerability analysis, socio-technological risks and vulnerabilities, residential and intentional fires, data management, data visualization and geographical information systems (GIS). 

Current research projects

  • Residential fires in metropolitan areas - spatial differences and fire safety work in the socially fragmented city (2014-2016), funded by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.

  • PRIVAD - Program for Risk and Vulnerability Analysis Development (Affiliated researcher 2011-2015) funded by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. The primary goal of PRIVAD is to develop methods and tools for risk and vulnerability analysis at all levels of society in order to better predict, prevent and manage different types of risks in society.

Other tasks and qualifications

Nicklas regularly gives lectures, leads and participates in workshops, research circles, and conferences together with staff from municipalities, county administrative boards, regions, state agencies, NGOs and the business sector.
