Interested in hosting a LUMID student?

Can you remember the names of those people who changed your career for the better? Are you interested in utilising the skills of highly capable postgraduate students from around the world?

Lund University’s flagship Master's in International Development and Managment (LUMID) is one of Scandinavia’s most sought-after postgraduates courses, with over 1200 applicants competing for the 40 places on offer each year. One of the attractions of the two-year programme is the 15-week work placement each fall/autumn. Inevitably, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many plans. While some organisations and students have identified ways to transition to new working arrangements (e.g. to desk-based engagement), others remain in a state of flux and uncertainty.

But perhaps the ‘new normal’ also creates opportunities. Do you work for an organisation involved in international development, e.g. a UN agency, a multilateral or bilateral agency, an NGO, an advocacy group, a social enterprise, or a think tank? Might your organisation be interested in hosting a LUMID student from September this year? If so, please contact Arvin Khoshnood, Programme Coordinator, for further information (lumid [at] keg [dot] lu [dot] se
