Presentation
Energy systems all over the world are undergoing a transition towards renewable energies. This transition brings about drastic change for producers and consumers alike. Subsequently, it produces winners and losers. I hope that my research on the politics of energy transition can inform society at large and decision makers in particular to steer this transition in a direction that ensures a fair and just energy system for all.
In my postdoc project we investigate the role of renewable energy cooperatives (RENCOPS) in the establishment and management of community energy projects in the Baltic Sea Region. These RENCOPs serve as intermediaries which bring together actors with different resources and expertise. We work together with 15 project partners in the Co2munnity project. For more information please visit: http://co2mmunity.eu/
My PhD project investigated the impact of transnational municipal networks that have been set up in response to climate change. In particular I looked at the question of how municipalities make use of their membership in these networks.
Apart from these topics, I am also interested in the depiction and operationalisation of environmental processes and especially climate change in video games.
