Researchers in the project:

Overview

The project, which has been going on since 1997, focuses on structural changes in the regions agricultural systems with a special emphasis on processes of diversification and, within this field, the growing importance of off-farm incomes within rice agriculture in the dominating rice-growing areas of Vietnam – the Red River and the Mekong Deltas. Within the framework for the project we have an active cooperation with researchers at Vietnamese Research Institutions – primarily CLRRI: Cuu Long Rice Research Institute in Can Tho and ESDRI: Environment and Sustainable Development Research Institute in Hanoi. The project is carried out in close cooperation with Department of Statistics at Lund University.
