Year 1

Semester 1
UTVC21: Development in Historical Perspective - Economic, Social and Political Transformation (15 credits) (PDF, new tab)

UTVC24: Theory of Science and Research Methods - An Introduction (15 credits)

Year 2

In order to be guaranteed a place in courses within one of the major disciplines, the students are required to have completed at least 75 per cent (45 credits) of the course requirements of year one

Semester 3 
Specialisation within one of the four major disciplines (PDF, new tab) (30 credits): Economic History, Human Geography, Sociology, or Political Science) during the autumn semester (30 credits)

Elective courses need to be related to the program and should always be approved by the Program Manager in advance.
 

Year 3

The student must have completed at least 75 per cent (45 credits) of the course requirements for year one and 75 per cent (45 credits) of the course requirements for year two in order to qualify for the final year.
