The LUMID programme welcomes foundations, companies and private persons to finance one of our talented prospective international students in their quest to become a future development practitioner.

LUMID has so far produced some 140 development professionals originating from more than 30 countries. One of the main assets of the programme has been the internationally diverse set of students, whose knowledge, hands-on experience and alternative perspectives have been priceless, not only during class discussions and the field placement, but also as support for their fellow students.

Although the programme has continued to be one of the most popular and well sought programmes at Lund University, the programme is increasingly forced to witness how young talented international students are unable to join the programme due to lack of funding since the Swedish government introduced tuition fees for non-EU students in 2011. We therefore welcome any donation that can help us preserve the LUMID community as one where international students are welcome irrespective of their financial resources.

You can make a direct transfer by paying the amount you wish to donate to LUMID following the instructions below. Please specify “LUMID and LU Global Scholarship Fund” so Lund University knows your donation is meant for the scholarships especially for LUMID students. Please include your contact details if you would like us to acknowledge your donation.
