This systematic review, which was partially funded by FORMAS grant to Ramasar and Caretta and a internal small grant at the The Department of Human Geography, Lund University, showcases their research interests around extractivism, and particularly mining, and the motivations that drive women to resist against it.

This article is the result of the collaboration among Caretta, Ramasar and Côte who are faculty members at the Department of Human Geography. They are also the founding members of the Extractivism Group which brings together researchers across Lund University.
