Presentation

Hayford Mensah Ayerakwa is a PhD student at the Human Geography Department here at Lund University. His research is looking at the socio-economic prospects and challenges of Urban Agriculture under changing global and demographic realities in Ghana.

Hayford holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and A Master of Philosophy Degree in Agricultural Economics, all from the University of Ghana. Prior to joining the Human Geography Department, He worked as a Research Officer at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research, ISSER, also at the University of Ghana where he coordinated several projects.

His research interests include urban agriculture, food security issues among the marginalized, impact evaluation and agricultural development policies.
