Good news - October 2017

We would like to announce some good news about our staff's special achievements this month - publiched papers, articles and funds!

Tomas Germundsson has published a paper ”Flerkärnighet – det bästa av två världar?” in the journal PLAN – Planering av stad & land, nr 3, 2017.

Markus Grillitsch (and Björn Asheim and Michael Trippl) have had an editorial and special issue: "Combinatorial Knowledge Bases, Regional Innovation, and Development Dynamics” accepted in Economic Geography

Nicklas Guldåker has received funds for a six month project together with avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet, LTH, concerning flood risks and crucial infrastructure, Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap.

Vasna Ramasar has been appointed fellow of the Swedish Institute for Global Health Transformations (SIGHT). This is a new undertaking of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA). Vasna will be contributing to shaping the agenda from a sustainability perspective.

Srilata Sircar, accepted article in the journal Urbanisation. "Placing the Urban in its Rural Context: Insights from a Case Study of a New Census Town in India" and will be out in their November issue.

Srilata Sirca has received funds, together with Claudia Fonseca from Malmo Hogskola, from the journal Gender, Place and Culture to organize a workshop as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations. The workshop will be on the experiences of young women scholars doing geographical fieldwork and will be held during Spring 2018.
